I recently moved to Leamington Spa and I am looking for a (nice!) livery yard to move one of my horses too! Preferably with at least an outdoor manege and some nice places to hack!

If anyone knows of any in the area (preferably within 10 mins drive of Leamington/Stoneleigh area) I would be very grateful if you could let me know!!

Also- what is the competing like round this area of Warwickshire? (Aside from Stoneleigh happenings of course!), is there much that goes on?

:)

I went to moreton morell for 2 years and kept my horse in Kineton. Really nice yard and some excellent hacking and with some gallops just down the road aswell.
Other places are Lighthorne, that also has some good hacking, nice quiet roads aswell

Hi,

I live in Leamington and my horse is in livery in Warwick at Warwick School of Riding which is about a 5 min drive from where I live (in the centre of town).

They have a separate livery yard for DIY liveries and it is kept to a maximum of 5 people at a time. I think there is one space at the moment.

They have 2 outdoor sand menages, an all weather sand gallops and cross country course. As I said the livery yard is separated from the riding school and includes stable and turnout for your horse (each horse has their own paddock).

Its a nice place and everyone is very friendly. It is owned by mother and son and they are both keen polo players and are lovely. There are riding lessons on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings that anyone can join as well as something every Sunday such as a hack, cross country, steeple chases, fundays e.t.c so there is plenty for keen competitors to get involved in on site. They also run a jousting company on site so thats also something interesting to have a go at!
