Hoping to pick some HHO brains here! I'm moving to Cirencester next September and want to take my two ponies with me. I don't know the area at all, and want to make sure I set them up somewhere decent as I have no local knowledge. I'm looking for flexible part livery with all year round turnout in small groups-no individual postage stamps-off road hacking, and a school with lights. Anything else would be a bonus but not a deal breaker. Any recommendations gratefully received, I'm starting the process early as I will also need a new vet, farrier, instructor etc and these things take time.
Thanks!

Poiuytrewq is further over that side than I am so she may be able to help a bit more with livery than I can but for vets Bourton Vale are good. If you are to the north of Cirencester towards Bourton or Stow then Hook Norton vets would be another excellent choice. Farrier's, again if you are north then Mark Johnson who in my humble opinion is the most clued up and proactive farrier I have ever met just about travels that far. For riding clubs join Crown, they have 4 camps a year at the Unicorn Trust in Stow and are a great bunch. Instructors depend on which discipline you take part in but the area is awash with good ones. Good luck with your search, it's a fabulous part of the country with so much going on.

Hazelton Manor would fit that brief. 5 mins off the main road between Ciren and Tetbury, they have a FB page.

Loads of good equine pros around - heart of horse country

No idea what packages (full/part/assisted etc) she offers but we stay at the Old Kennels on holiday every year and both the school and the hacking in Cirecencester Park are amazing. Bex is lovely

Hello! I’m a little way out of Cirencester, not far but I don’t really know the yards. I did go to the yard above though for a lesson which I arranged via Bex with her husband Ben. They are both really lovely. I’d recommend getting in touch with them, I expect they could maybe recommend somewhere if they couldn’t help or the yard wasn’t what your after.
I know there are a few in the area. Cirencester Park is apparently amazing for riding. I keep
Intending to box over but so far haven’t!
Agree, Bourton Vale vets are great!
Happy moving :)

I'm from Cirencester! I haven't been to the Old Kennels but Ben does all our transport and is one of the nicest guys! So lovely with our young horses!
You could also try Fossehill, which is very near the RAU. There's also Park Corner, which as the name suggests is on the corner of the Park - so has the most amazing hacking!

Thanks so much the helpful suggestions- I will follow them up and try and go and visit a few. I’m a dressage person, pony had been competed BD elementary but currently unaffiliated after a few arthritis problems, I know it’s v good as an area for dressage so hoping I can find a decent instructor and eventually a share horse once I retire mine from competing (he will be 18 when we move). Mainly excited for the hacking- I’ve heard that it’s amazing and it will be such a treat to have direct off road hacking rather than dicing with death on the lanes!
