Hey everyone :)
Haven't been on here in a while so excuse my cheekiness for returning now I'm in a panic!
Any advice/help would be very much appreciated!

At the moment I'm having to decide what to do about University and Ronnie, My 6 year old Irish Cob. I've recently got into a couple of universities, including Kent to do History and Philosophy of Art which i'm quite keen on and i'm just trying to get my options all together so I can decide what's best for everyone. I also want to give my field owner plenty of notice of my decision, she's a really wonderful lady so I don't want to mess her around in all of this whilst I faff around with what to do.

As it stands, i'd quite like to take Ronnie with me. I live in Brighton so Canterbury really isn't that far away. My mum lives 4.5 hours away from me down in Devon with her new partner and since I took a photography foundation course last september here i've been living on my own for the past year - there really isn't much keeping me in Brighton anymore so I doubt i would be coming 'home' often, all my friends are already at Uni and so it helps that i don't have to worry about carting him home every holiday! :p

I'd be interested if anyone knows any livery yards around Canterbury? Ronnie's a chunky lad so ideally i'd quite like to keep him on grass livery as he is at the moment, 24/7 365 days a year as he handles it great :) Although I love him to absolute pieces, after a fall last summer where I ended up smashing head first onto tarmac after he took off with me down a road i've had some big confidence issues with riding him.. Don't panic! He's not a nutter! :) To be honest, I think he was napping to get back to the field which is I know is a common problem with youngsters which makes it pretty pathetic of me but even so it has left me with a bad mental block about riding. I'm hoping to conquer this before uni, but whatever yard I moved to the most important thing for me would be to have a good instructor there for support and regular lessons. At the moment, I don't have any facilities in the field I keep him as it's a private grass livery with only a few horses, not a yard, so I hope that any small step up with facilities such as a sand school would help me considerably in getting confidence up :D

Sorry for the essay, just wanted to explain the situation fully so if anyone knows of something suitable I wouldn't be wasting anyone's time :) Also if anyone has any experience with taking their horse to uni - good or bad i'd be grateful if you have any advice! :)

Thanks so much everyone! x

I've found 'Mount Pleasant' and 'Trenley Park' from google.
Has anyone had any experiences with either of them, good or bad?
Feel free to PM if needed :)

Hi There
trenley park is a very good reliable yard run professionally. I know the person who runs it he often organizes events with Moat view - your beautiful pony would be in very safe hands. I do not recomment Mount Pleasant...
