Hi everybody,

Im moving to newent as I have a new job in ross on wye and I was wondering if anybody knew of any nice yards around these areas. For one mare and one gelding both well behaved. Looking for DIY with stables and turn out for Summer would like a schooling ring but not essential.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I have a small yard in Redmarley, (GL19 3JX) only 7 stables so nice and quiet. A few of my liveries are leaving (2 are going home from uni and I had to give 1 notice). I have a 20 x 40 school and nice hacking through Redmarley woods. £25 DIY including stable, large storage box, space in locked tack room, use of school, trailer parking and turnout (not shared with another owner unless you want it to be). I order haylage and shavings in so you can buy off me or buy your own.

The only thing is I have a stallion on the yard and I know some people have a problem with that, especially if they own mares. However there are currently 5 mares on the yard and he hasn't been too much trouble as long as people are sensible (not holding their mares bum close to his face while he's in etc!)

If that doesn't suit you Lyne House livery is very close to Newent, very tidy yard and £40 a week DIY (can't remember what that includes) and Fairfields is also close and has good facilities and is about £35 a week :)
