Dear all,

Have heard today that my YO may be selling up.... I sincerely hope this isn't the case, but if it is, will be looking for somewhere new

so does anyone know of good livery yards in South Shropshire (ludlow area) where I can:

take the dog - an ancient lurcher, but she likes to lie in the sun and watch us schooling and totters round the fields when we're poo picking

have regular + free use of a school - not intersted in jumping, but have a young warmblood pony and want to bring her on for dressage

in spite of the above, am also practising various forms of what could loosely be called 'Natural Horsemanship' so want to do those without having a crowd of idiots telling me to slap a bit in her mouth and use the spurs

good stables

all-year round turnout (actually this should be top of the list- after the dog who comes first before anything else)

YO prepared to turn out and bring in if I do the mucking out

friendly people

all this at an affordable price

any thoughts? I suspect current heaven is unrepeatable, but worth a look

sounds like you're looking for exactly the same as me...there is dudgely farm in all stretton - thats just been taken over by some locals, not got an arena yet, but rumour is that theyre hoping to get one, but plenty of flat fields to school on...not many people there - just 5 or 6 now. there is also one in middlehope...dont know much about that.thats got a school i think. and highgrove in craven arms- thats been for sale for quite a while now, not sure if they're taking liveries but they certainly have liveries there. theres also bow house, but that wont let you turn out 24/7 in winter...where are you now?may be too far away but in stapleton theres a new very small livery with very nice family dont think they have more than 2 liveries. worth a look.dont know where you live though...or berriewood - thats quite popular. but school is only availble when there isnt a riding lesson.
