Livery yards in spain near Gibraltar??

Hello,

Im possibly moving to Gibraltar next year and considering taking my horse and would like to know if there are any livery yards close by. I know there are british horse society approved yards out there but they are very hard to find online.

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Hi will you be living in gib or Spain? Also what facilities do you need? There are quite a few yards around San roque club and sotogrande depending on your discipline and what you need...

If you are only thinking of taking your horse please be aware of the torment flies can cause your horse in Spain to which he will have no natural immunity.

but others do exist and I know an Austrian who regularly wintered in Spain and had 2 Spanish horses on full livery all year. One year they suffered so much from flies that he had to spend the summer in Spain just to ensure they had their medications, rugs done etc as this alone had become a full time task for the YO.
The following year he arranged for them to travel home to Austria rather than face another summer of flies ruining his family life.

Ive been in Spain 12 years with my UK bred horses, I don't have a problem with flies, but you do need a good fly repellent. Mine do live out 24/7, as I find it far cooler for them.. if you are on FB search ''horse owners in Spain'' its a friendly group that will give you lots of advice and recommend livery yards in the area you are looking for.

Im actually returning to the UK in September with my 3 horses and Im more concerned about bringing them back, than I was bringing them here,
