I will be moving house soon and my house will be a 20 drive from my current DIY yard. Therefore I am looking for livery yards in and around steventon and Drayton. Preferably no more than a ten min drive. Good turnout , a school and good hacking are important to me. I would prefer a smaller yard.
Does anyone know of any diy yards in the area?

You Could try Malthouse along the Hanney Road, between Steventon and West Hanney about 10 minutes from Drayton. Moria Robertson or Ami Measor? If you Google Malthouse Equestrian it will come up with contact numbers. Hacking not the best though, but does have regular shows, indoor and outdoor school.

Mills stables at Alden - yard managers are lovely, hacking is fab, they have good turnout and they have a decent outdoor school. They have a website and are also on facebook.

Is this the new name for Alden Farm that used to be run by Henry Bucknell (Alden Equi Centre). I wondered when this place was going to get back up and running? heard all sorts about whats meant to be happening up there..

I'm not sure who used to run it but Mills are now running livery there. It may well be the same place, they've only just moved there. Shame it is the wrong direction for me, it looks lovely!! I used to keep my horse on livery with Mills when they were located elsewhere and they are brilliant. A few friends moved there and say the yard is wonderful. Website is http://www.millsstables.com/

My current yard is quite close to Alden so I wouldn't chose to move there from where I am now. I Know of the main ones around the area but just wonder if there are any small diy yards hidden around the area that I di nit know about

I'm diy in the Harwell / Hagbourne / Blewbury area, private diy yards round this way are like gold dust!! .... An empty field doesn’t stay empty for long and a filed with stables, puh! Nearly non existent... Fascinates me how people know or hear about that one has become available.
