Sorry to do another one.
Am starting to look further afield for livery for Chloe. I.e. Sussex, and places that will have fast trains going through from London.

Does anyone have any livery yard recommendations or names that will do full livery, in Sussex, or maybe a little further away but with fast trains.

Any suggestions really grateful! Am really willing to look at any yards with a train station close by. I've got a few names, and I've emailed them, but jus want to see if I can get some personal reccomendations.

Thanks so much for any help!

Wouldn't it be easiest to go to Wimbledon (very easy) and from there you can get to places like Sutton, Chessington, Guildford, Reigate, Epsom, Dorking, Cobham, where there are quite a few yards I think!

Do they have to be walking distance from a station?

Interesting....thank you, I will check out Dorking and Cobham etc...

ETA - From Wimbledon it takes over an hour to get to Dorking/Guildford.

With 1 stop.

My train journey from London to epsom only takes 28 mins, there are a few yards round there although the bike ride is kinda long to where I am!

wow, which station do you go from? Is it direct? I might just hop on a train and see where it takes me, in terms of yards near a station!

Probably no help but the yard I am at is quite near a station (polegate) its probably 20 min walk but very quick on a bike. Its called Folkington Manor Stables don't have a website but if you want I can PM you the phone number.

oh great, thank you - I've got the number actually, just googled it. What facilities does it have? Will check out the train to yard time. thanks for your help.

That sounds v. positive!!! But have googled it, and it doesn't give much info....is there a numer/email/website? Is crabbet park the name of the yard, or is there a yard actually in/on Crabbet park...thanks! Sorry for all the Qs

Sounds super though. thanks for your help.

Hangleton farm is very good, very large livery yard with beutiful fields and two HUGE schools lovely boxes lots of great facilities. They are out by ferring (worthing) they have a website if you google

Durrington station is closest it is an 11min drive from there you would have to test how close on a bike

Only thing is it is about an hours train to get there, roughly you would have to check exactly what is it from your closest station to durrington hope that helps

What a shame just trying to think of other stops on that route. Plumpton is under an hour from Victoria and is very horsey in its surroundings\;-

Lizzie B's Liveries, Plumpton Race Course, Plumpton Green, East Sussex. Telephone: 07908 640360

Or try yards around Haywards Heath. I know there are quite a few/ There are also many yards around Gatwick but probably not in walking / cycling distance.

Plumpton green is a nice yard I tried a horse there once seemed like nice hacking and for compititions and jumpcross you have plumpton college which would be useful.

I got told that Hangleton has really really scaled down due to ever increasing costs
