Hi

I am new to these forums, but when searching for local places to take my horse to a lot of google searches seemed to direct me here! Anyway I saw a few posts highly recommending little dannys and new barn, have tried both! one has no vacancies and other wasnt sure I wanted to be on such a MASSIVE yard!

Has anyone heard of Gospels Farm or Badger Wood Training & Livery Centre! can find them on searches but no details. Ideally looking for part livery, with a school, decent facilities and am willing to pay for them!

Any other reccommendations would be fab as well :)

Thanks

Sal

are you west or east sussex? worth giving your vets a call as they often know of some!

Are you anywhere near Warnham/Copsale? Could help out around there

West Sussex but will go into East Sussex, am based between Henfield and Pyecoombe. So Brighton area is also an option!

i'd have an ask at work for you as we cover that far south but I've got the week off! Doesn't pycombe show centre itself do livery?

My friend runs a fab livery yard in Blackstone lane, henfield. PM me for her number, she has spaces and its lovely, really friendly and off road hacking round the farm.

My friend lives next door to Badger wood, ive been there before. They have some massive showjumpers. The school is huge and im pretty sure the instructor there is really good aswell but im not sure. Another friend also keeps her horses there too. Im not sure what the prices are like but it would have fab hacking areas too. It was dark last time I went there and was quite a few years ago aswell so may have changed a bit now. But when I went there, people were really nice and friendly.

Gospels farm is really close to me in ditchling. Amazing hacking area in ditchling, my old yard was round the corner and if I didnt have such a fab field owner now, then id probably go back to where I used to be in ditchling. Its quite hard to get to though without a car as theres not any busses and its easy to find aswell as its near the bottom of the beacon.
I dont know if its the right one, but I used to use a school that was either gospels or a yard nearby, I cant remember the name of it. But the owners lived on site and seemed very friendly. But then im not 100% if it was gospels that I went to.

Have you tried Chestnuts, Three Greys, Brendons, Southdowns, Carols in woodingdean, and the livery in Rottingdean? Maisies kept in Rottingdean and its great there. Also the yard in Ovingdean. Ive been to Southdowns, Carols and the yard in Ovingdean. Very nice but Carols has alot of horses in her field and the field is huge too, but she has stables across the road which would be better.

Also Southdowns when I was there about 10years ago seemed quite clicky, but it has good facilities but not so good hacking area. Also if you carry on along the same path where southdowns is then youl come to the racing stables (gary moores) then carry on going and theres also a smaller yard down there and a couple of weeks ago they were advertising for more liverys in the friday ad. This is all along by the racehill in brighton.

Lots of yards in Henfield/Lewes/Haywards heath way. If you go towards South Chaily in lewes youl find loads of yards along the same road, but im not sure what there like.

Sorry for the massive post lol. Good luck :D x

Hi Sal,

Someone on here contacted me directly as they were looking for a certain type of livery yard and with success I found a suitable yard for her. What exactly are you looking for, DIY, part, assisted, full, access to good bridleways, no main roads, floodlite school etc etc. I know quite a few.

PM me if you prefer.
