Hi

We are making the big move from London....:)

I will be looking for a Full/Part livery yard for my mare, needs to have decent turnout, school and direct access to off road hacking (hacking around on site farm/park land is even better doesn't need to be extensive!).

Suggestions would be very welcome...very nervous about moving so finding a good yard would help hugely!

Hi. I would have a look at Barton End Stables. They are based at Nailsworth, about 4 miles south of Stroud. They do full/part livery and seem to have most of what you are looking for.

Another option is Bownhill Livery at Stroud but I am not sure what they are taking in terms of liveries at the moment i.e. full/part or DIY.

Wiltshire/Stroud is a pretty large, vague area. Whereabouts are you moving to and how far are you prepared to travel to your horse??.
If you mean Glos/Stroud there is also Summerhouse next to the M5 which ahs excellent onsite facilities, but not so good hacking, or if you want a smaller yard, New Ho stables near Tetbury does livery, has school, turnout and good hacking. New Ho has a website if you google it.

Manor Equestrian SN11 (we may be a bit too far from stroud as 45mins but perhaps worth a look)
I too commute daily to london and my husband (retired international rider) and our groom take care of our horses at home on our small private yard with oodles of all year dry turnout in groups or alone.
We have 2 hunters in livery with us and 5 of our own, with excellent estate off road hacking for miles and miles and superb facilities (indoor school, permenant drained 8 acre grass jumping arena & dressage arena, XC across the hacking)
We have 2 stables available for either part or full livery. Our standards of care are the most important thing as we do this for our passion. All boxes with rubber matting, secure heated tack room, safe lorry parking (you are welcome to use ours if you need). We are very reasonable rates as its our pleasure and are happy to do rug wash runs etc included and loads of extras.
Good luck - I know moving is stressful. but don't worry it will all be ok.
