Im bringing my horse back from sales livery as Im not happy with things there. A friend has offered to have him at her place but there is rapeseed nearby (he is allergic to it), although most of it is going over. There is another place Ive seen but its a big yard and he doesnt like big yards. Im hoping to sell him but Im not sure where to go.

What are you asking exactly?

I would take him to wherever will give you the best facilities if you're hoping to sell him. You can always move him from your friend's if he has a bad reaction.

My horse headshakes due to rape, the majority has now been harvested and what is left does not bother him now. The pollen travels in the air anyway, so where ever you move him could potentially be a problem xx

I couldnt decide where to go and Im not sure he'll settle on the bigger yard. I'll just have to see how he is with it.

Charlie007 - Thats true. The rapeseed hasnt been harvested and is dying but a tiny amount is flowering in a neighbouring field.

When is it normally harvested? I thought it would stop flowering by now.

The rape in our area has been done over the last few weeks. It is only when it is flowering that my boy (and me !) suffer! As soon as the flowers go he is pretty much ok. There are a few fields round here that look to have rape still in flower in (late type maybe?) but it doesn't seem to smell, so doesn't bother usxx
