I know it seems like the wrong time of the year, but I had to get my clippers back out to clip my friends horse's tail at the sides ready for showing.

I sent the clippers off to be serviced at the end of last year, and havn't used them since. Before I sent them off they had cut out once or twice after a long period of use, and this was resolved by pushing that little button at the bottom back in. I always made sure that the blades were well oiled and that the tension was right (but could someone just remind me of the general rule for tensioning again :o )

However, when I went to use them today they cut out completly - luckily just as I was finishing up so didn't need them any more - but no matter what I tried they wouldn't start up again.

Like I said they have been serviced and passed (one thing was replaced), and all my blades are newly sharpened also.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I will contact the people who I sent my clippers off to be serviced but wondered if any f you have had a similar problem.

I will also point out these are second hand but previous owner serviced them regularly and were only used for hogging and legs.

Sorry for the essay :p
