I've decided I'm tired of borrowing or having other people clip for me, so I'm going to take the plunge and buy my own clippers.

I'd really like to go with the Lister Liberty and avoid the trailing cable, but I don't know anyone who's used these clippers and I'm worried about how they perform.

My alternatives were to keep the cable and go with the Liveryman Arena or possibly even the Mustang.

Does anyone have any thoughts/experiences/recommendations to share?

Thanks :-)

Ive got Liveryman Arena Plus clippers - they are quite heavy but i guess ive just got used to them! They get quite hot for the first couple of clips aswell - so you need to be careful to oil them more than usual and that the vents are kept really clear too. I find the tension quite hard to get right on them aswell.....

I have liveryman arena clippers. They are now 10years old and I have had no problems with them at all. Can't compare them to any other brand as these have been my one and only pair but I am perfectly happy with them and liveryman have been easy to deal with when they have been serviced (which is only about twice

Well, I'm an impulsive gal - popped down to the tack shop at lunch and I'm now the proud owner of a set of Liveryman Apollos.

..........so we can compare notes on Monday :-)
