They will do a full clip on a pony, as long as the hair isn't overley thick. They take the snap on blades so there is no tensioning, and it is available in the mains version or the rechargable version. I just bought a set from Clippersharp, and i'm really pleased with them.

was just about to post exactly the same thing! i want to do a hunter clip on a 17hh with a veyr fine coat, any good. i also dont want to break the bank

The mains sets are only £100 delivered, but you would do well to get the wide blade for an extra £26

, I like them - nice and lightweight, and you can upgrade to a 3 hour battery pack

They are virtually the same width as the regular blades on a full sized mains set (A2). I need to get an extra option on there for buying the wide blades as they come as standard with the blades shown in the pic.

As Neigh said, they are classed as a lightweight clipper and as such are more suitable for horses with a finer coat.

I think they are excellent VFM with the mains adapter for the type they are.
