Can anyone help with this before I chuck these off a wall?!

Proper clippers are away to get serviced/fixed so I thought I’d pull these out of the dark space they were in. Probably best if they stayed there mind you.The drive arm was broken on them which is why I put them away and never got round to getting them fixed. Anyway, bought a new drive arm and they work fine. However the blades keep popping off… what’s that about? ?

Mine have always worked brilliantly and I clip a 16.2 ID with them regularly. Takes me about 45 minutes. And hour if I do her legs.

I sent them to bee serviced this year after I noticed the spring that held the blades on was broken. And now they work really well!!

In short, I dunno!

Mine nearly went against the wall the only time I ever used them, damn things!

May be worth (if you can be bothered with them) sending them to Shear Ease to see if they can fix them, I think mine developed the same problem, when I gave up horses I sold them for a very low price on eBay with full disclosure that they may be able to be fixed but priced them accordingly with the view they may not.

I still have my liveryman red rocket clippers as I loved them so much even though I have no intention of going back to doing anything horse related! Should probably sell but...

Yeaph there deffo IS a knack to snapping the blades back on - and have you looked at the actual blades?? Coz something the guy at Clippersharp said when I took them there once coz I happened to be in the area and dropped in (am reasonably local) is that sometimes the blades go a bit out of alignment and you have to get a screwdriver and basically shunter them back in again. Sorry this probably doesn't make much sense but if you look at the blades you might see one side of them sticking out more?? That might just be your problem? Am sharing the wisdom anyway as it might just be something simple.

Currently mine are basically stuffed coz pony moved when we were having a "challenging" time clipping her legs and I dropped them ....... frankly I am not sure whether 'tis worth repairing the dang things as have never been too impressed with them. IME they won't clip a hairy cob and are really only suitable as trimmers rather than clippers. As much use as another hole in the bum frankly and wouldn't recommend anyone buy them unless you've got a TB type with a light coat.

Did use them to clip little hairy terrierist tho'......... they did do a decent'ish job for that.

Thanks guys. They seem to be a bit marmite! I’ve sent a message to Liveryman so we’ll see what they say. OH had a go at them too but they keep popping out. I’ve had a look at the blades, nothing looks obviously out of kilter. We slide them on the hinge bit then push in. They do line up as if they’re in but for some reason then pop off.
