Cannot believe it, my horse was meant to arrive yesterday and the transporter didn't show up! 10 hours after he's meant to turn up after ignoring my phone calls all day, a friend lets me borrow her phone to ring WHICH THEY ANSWER FIRST TIME and tell me that he's been AWOL since around 4 hours before! Why could no one ring me to let me know?! It's so rude and disappointing since I've waited nearly 2 weeks to have my baby with me. Just a warning DO NOT use need a ride, if you actually want your horse to get to you in the near future! I've had to rebook and continue my wait :( Rant over!

I used them once to get my horse to Newmarket hospital. Never had a problem with them not turning up but they did cost almost as much as it did for Eric Gillies to take a horse from south of england to aberdeenshire so wasnt too impressed with cost!

I've just taken a horse a relatively short distance to the yard of a horse transporter, who is taking it to the south of England. I've just said to OH that she's paying me about half what it's costing her to get it from Ireland to Dorset. But that's because I'm transporting one horse from A to B and then returning empty to A.

These big boys are filling a 7/8 horse wagon and returning with a load. It's hardly surprising it costs less :)

That is disgusting treatment, was just going to say the same as previouse poster regarding Gillies,we also transport and on a long trip with just one horse on board we cannot compete with their prices.Good luck getting your horse home with another transporter
