Llanymynech ground?

Hi there,
i'm meant to be doing Festival of the Horse at Llanymynech on sunday (1 metre class), but i only have 1 x stud hole in each hind shoe. Does it get very wet there? would you showjump/ xc in this weather with only 1 stud? i've never met very wet conditions before, worried.

Hi there Trules, I live not too far from Llanymynech. We are getting a LOT of rain here and I imagine that it would be worse there. I can't advise you on the stud front, but either way, good luck!

I think the main worry is if the river floods, the course will then be under water, with the amount of rain we have had, it wouldnt suprise me Im sorry to say. The rivers are just about to come over so I would check before you come.

Hiya, I am supposed to be doing it Sunday too, and am very surprised they have not cancelled yet, as a lot of BE events have been abandoned and fun rides in the area have also been cancelled. I will do the course walk on Saturday and assess then! Studs, as long as you have large domed ones is should be OK!

Just spoken to someone who shall we say is involved in event and it doesent look very hopefull that it will go ahead.

There was meant to be show jumping there last week and it was cancelled sadly!!

And its been raining all day also

Confirmed Llanymynech wont run, they say may be the 6th or 13th May
