Well, I didn't get to ride Ned today! I was a little bit put out, but I was excited to see who I'd get on instead. Turns out I was on Llewellyn (Welly) and if I'm honest, I was a bit nervous. He's extremely spooky and sometimes strong. But I got on with no complaints and all was well!
He was actually fantastic and although he was VERY strong today, we got along well, despite a rather dramatic rear at a gap in the hedge. To my surprise, this 'very spooky horse' only had one, teeny tiny, barely even a side step spook!

Here's the lovely lad ^^

The New Horse!!

I arrived at the stables as usual today and said hello to Viking, who was in his stable...I did a double take and realised it wasn't Viking!! It was a new horse! How exciting!
He's a beautiful ex racer called Toby. I was tempted to ride him today, but the lad who always rides the new ones got first dibs.
He's a stunner and amazing in traffic, he got a bit excited when we cantered, but what new horse wouldn't? Still, he was good, barely put a foot wrong and is settling very very well!

Here's Toby, the pics don't do him justice.

It was really fun :D I'd forgotten how mad saturday morning rides are! I'm so used quiet (yet fast) rides with just one or two other people. Everyone was very hyped this morning :P

How come you can't ride at the moment? D:

Horseless, and don't have the money spare to go riding, although I might go next week if I am feeling flush.. :)

Abroad at the minute, but going back home soon, so hopefully more riding ahead soon. Once I get a job then it might be time to start thinking about buying, but that's a long way off at the minute- luckily I have very nice friends who are generous with theirs so I'm never without riding for long when I'm home.

Yeah, for sure. I miss it like hell when I'm not, luckily my last two summers have been very busy with riding (had a pony on loan this summer, in my sig) and last year had a big chestnut monster.. in fact, I'll stick a pic or two here.. sorry for hijacking your thread ;)
