Well, I didn't get to ride Ned today! I was a little bit put out, but I was excited to see who I'd get on instead. Turns out I was on Llewellyn (Welly) and if I'm honest, I was a bit nervous. He's extremely spooky and sometimes strong. But I got on with no complaints and all was well!
He was actually fantastic and although he was VERY strong today, we got along well, despite a rather dramatic rear at a gap in the hedge. To my surprise, this 'very spooky horse' only had one, teeny tiny, barely even a side step spook!
Here's the lovely lad ^^
The New Horse!!
I arrived at the stables as usual today and said hello to Viking, who was in his stable...I did a double take and realised it wasn't Viking!! It was a new horse! How exciting!
He's a beautiful ex racer called Toby. I was tempted to ride him today, but the lad who always rides the new ones got first dibs.
He's a stunner and amazing in traffic, he got a bit excited when we cantered, but what new horse wouldn't? Still, he was good, barely put a foot wrong and is settling very very well!
Here's Toby, the pics don't do him justice.
