Does everyone have aa loan agreement?
Managed to find a lovely loan home for my little pony, hes going on tues and have agreed to let him go for 18 months. Do i just download the agreement form the BHS website? no agreements where mentioned - just wanted to be sure that its a common thing to do when loaning a pony out! thanks

As you say there is one on the BHS website in which you can download and amend to suit your horse's needs. Although, a lot of people like to get one drawn up by a solicitor.

You must have a agreement though, vet the potential 'loanee' and their home/yard, visit the pony reguarly.

my horse is on loan and have not had an agreement for the past 4 years, but then i use him at weekend and the loan is finishing in may anyway. I have been very lucky but agree that you should have one as it protects both parties

Is the one from the website okay to use, just amend it to my needs then get the loaner to sign it?? is that all i need to do?
I know where the loaner lives, works etc and i know a few people who know her so i know hes going to a good home (local too) do i need a solicitor?
