I got a pony on a months LWVTB about 3 weeks ago (I posted pics) but have made the decision today that I'll have to send her back.
She had nearly had me under a couple of lorries so far, she doesn't know how to trot properly, gets too excited if she even see's a jump and has started rearing, spinning and then bucking and won't stand tied up.
Now none of the above would normally bother me, I know she's only been here 3 weeks and is nowhere near being settled she's also in season which won't be helping but I have 2 young kids to consider and I don't have the time or facilities for the amount of work in the school she requires.
When I tried her she seemed ideal, no vices never reared, bucked etc just seemed like a sensible fun pony.
Choccies for anyone that's made it this far.
If anyone knows of a sensible horse suitable for the following please let me know:
to carry around 13stone,
suitable for hacks (with lots of lorries and tractors)
the odd bit of jumping
possibly some hunting and the odd local show
don't mind what breed or height but I would rather not have anything over 12/13yrs
I only have around £1500 to spend so it's going to be a challenge
Preferably in the North East
