Hi,
I posted some pictures of Oscar just after he arrived, looking very skinny and unmuscled. He has proven to be an absolute angel in all repects, so loving and gentle with impeccable manners! He has become a firm favourite with everyone on the yard already, bless him. He has been amazing to lunge and just to be around. He is putting on weight steadily and is very slowly putting back some muscle.
Although V is a very confident rider in most respects, the one thing she can't deal with is bolting and as Oscar is incredibly responsive she was very nervous that he would beggar off with her. So until today she had ridden on the lead rein in walk for about 10 minutes and nothing more. Today that changed - hooray!! She found that he is totally voice controlled, fantastically so, and that as quick as he is to go, he is just as quick to slow - amazing!! Once they had relaxed into each other they both seemed to be wearing huge smiles - the start of a beautiful pairing I'm sure! I might have cried a little bit too!
Anyway, video here was taken just as she was begining to relax! Sorry for a boring post, just thrilled at the progress!!!
