I am looking at loaning a pony for my daughters of around 12-12.2hh which I will need to be bombproof and ideal for beginners (only one of my daughters is riding at present - the other keen to start learning bless x). I am looking for full loan.

I have looked but can't find anywhere decent online to be able to search ponies for loan - loads for sale but not loan.

Does anyone know of anywhere I can search to find an ideal pony please??

Thank you

Have you looked on the pony club website?

Also try and contact your local pony club quite often there are first ponies up for loan that people cant bare to part with

I tried all the above sites and was messed about many times. In the end, i bought a pony, fairly cheap. She is bombproof and we love her. Good ponies are hard to find, in my opinion. The good ones owner's can take their pick of new homes. Keep trying and I hope you find something. Ask your vet if he / she can ask around too, ditto the farrier, word of mouth is always good.

I am going to try the websites you have given me and possibly even ask about too.

I have thought of buying but then also thought of the fact that as the girls outgrow the pony, we would have the fun of trying to sell!! before getting a new one that would suit their size and level.

A valid point of the owners being choosy with who their beloved pony is loaned out to! Though I can understand that they only want the best for their much loved horsey pal x

I also never even thought to check out the pc website either.

Could try a note on your vets notice board or ask a farrier... they tend to know what's going on - also local riding clubs are a good place to try.
