I have recenlty asked for my horse to come back off loan. The loanee lives a long way from me so I can't just nip down and see her.

My problem is that I have sent her a card explaining that I miss my horse etc and would like my horse back, but she appears to be ignoring it.

What should my next step be? The horse is covered by a loan agreement which ends 31st of this month. I thought that perhaps I should send her a recorded letter saying that I've arranged transport for a certain day etc?

Any advise please? I can't get her on the phone

Keep phoning. But the recorded letter is also a good idea. I have to say I would also be getting in the car and driving to see her (regardless of how far away it is).

Do make sure you go to collect the horse, and not just send someone.

I think the letter is a great idea. Make sure you state the date and time that you have arranged collection. Ask them to get in touch if its not suitable. In the meantime keep trying to phone them.

I would be worried that she had been moved some were else.. but also that maybe they dont want you to her back because she has fallen into ill health.. lost alot of weight.... or gained alot. Or just become unwell.
