A friend of mine (experienced mature adult) has been looking for a large pony/small horse for loan for ages and just hasnt had much luck at all. Can any of you suggest where else she can look or place an ad wanted for loan. The location of the yard is in Isfield (East Sussex) with owner onsite and she is prepared to look within Sussex/Surrey and West Kent.
What shes looking for is mare or gelding (13.1h to 15.1h; 12-21yrs) native type X, hardy, mature, must be 100% traffic; a happy hacker alone or in company (no jumping); occasional short schooling sessions, maybe walk/trot dressage if she felt ambitious!; sound, quiet and sensible with reasonably good manners, good doer/no vices. Something perhaps which is not ready to retire, but needs a quieter life. Home offered: with 4 other equines all over 20yrs and grazing/stabling.
