Loan with a view to buy

hi everyone,

I have had several people ask me i I would loan my horse out before I sell. I dont like the idea as have had my fingers burned before, but it could be the difference bewteen selling and not.

Does anyone have any experiences? Good or bad?

I had both of my horses on loan with a view to buy, only asked for 2 weeks. I wanted to be sure they were perfect for me, I brought both within the first week.

I ask just for piece of mind to be honest, if they agreed it showed they had nothing to hide & vise versa. I must add that both horses were local to me.

I loaned my horse before buying for 2 months actually and it was great to be absolutely sure but we had a loan agreement in place so get something in writing so you don't get burned.
