Helloo! I'm potentially going to see a horse this week on loan with a view to buy. The lady has said that she wants to loan him out for 2 years and maybe let me buy him after that. My question is, do we agree on a price now that i'll pay after that time? I know that so much could happen in 2 years but I don't want to have him for that time, do lots with him, increase his worth and then her sell him to someone else! Any ideas?

hey, its kind of related, but when i was in a rented house for 2 years and we were told we could buy but when it came to it they changed their mind, so set up a proper agreement, signed, that you will get first come first serve when for sale, or a set price now. Laminate it! :)

personally if you want to buy eventually i'd look to buy now but i guess if you cant afford that then yours might be the best option. what about just loaning with no view to buy? at least you know when your time is up, normal loaning normally finishes after a while anyway and you'd have to deal with giving the horse back of you couldn't afford after two years
