Anybody understand insurance???
I loan my horse so my agreement is between my horse's owner and myself. He is kept on a big yard with her other horse, she oversees everything but I take care of him full time now, and I also take care of her other horse if she is on holiday etc.
Confusion is YO is worrying that as my name is not on the livery contract I'm not covered by her insurance should I have an accident on her yard. I have my own BHS insurance which covers me to ride any horse with owners permission, 3rd party public liability etc. and have offered to either sign some kind of 'livery loan' contract or a disclaimer to say I understand I am there at my own risk and she is not held responsible in event of accident if there is no such thing as a loan contact I can get between myself and the YO
If I sign a disclaimer would it in any way invalidate my own insurance which is with a different company??
Anybody else in my situation? What should I be doing or signing (or not signing!!! ) ???????????
Little worried and confused
