I have someone loaning my horse at the moment, which stays at my yard. My problem is the rent is paid up till today but i have not seen my loaner for the last 2 weeks, no phone calls to say she is not coming down.

I tried to ring her last week to say the back lady was coming out last Saturday to do mine so would do the horse i loan at the same time (she had asked me to book him in). I still did not have an answer from her so on Friday i rang again and said i needed the money to be able to pay for the back lady and if she didn't want it done she had to let me know asap, well Saturday morning i get a phone call from her OH to say he would have the money to be before 12 noon, back lady due 12.30. When he arrives he tells me she had gone away for the week and was not coming back until Sunday.

She has not been down all this week again and today is lovely here and still no sign of her. My problems is do i chase after her and ask what she wants to do, or as the rent is now due do i just look for someone else. She has only had him 2 months and paid up on time before and as i said with the back lady was there with the money no problems, but i will say she has never been very reliable about coming down to see him.

Any advice appreciated, and well done for getting this far.

If anyone is interested please PM me.

Hmmm what dos your agreement say? 2 weeks is a long time of no sign or communication!
I would ask her right out so that you know one way or another. If you cant get her do you have her address?? I would turn up and try to talk to her.

I would say if she isnt reliable, do you really want to trust her with your horse? I dont know what kind of agreement you made with her but if you dont think she is coming down enough then give her chance to improve.... if she does not, then end the agreement giving any agreed notice period and loan to someone else.
