also in NL-sorry!

hi all
I need some help. I have decided I have had enough at the moment, and I want to loan or sell my lovely horse. He is a fantastic horse, the nicest nature ever, a demon xc, loves his sj. He really is a lovely horse but I am not enjoying any aspects of horse owning at the moment. My mare who is loan is due back in december this year and I will have to get rid of one of them. As she is the daughter of my first (and perfect)horse I would like to keep her.
Unfortunately he has epsm. He is sound on the oil diet and I having no probs with him. I would also be happy to put him on full loan but I am not sure where to start.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
A xx

Dear SM

I do understand how you are feeling and I think that at this point in the winter, thousands of horse owners are asking themselves WHY?

I would definiately consider a loan of an EPSM horse. I am feeding the EPSM diet to one of mine at the moment and whilst it is a little more expensive it is certainly manageable and the horse is doing well on it. It is also easy to understand so its unlikely that any new loaner/owner would find it confusing.

As for sale, I think you would struggle a little and probably have to settle for a lower price, people are always wary when it comes to a horse purchase and as soon as a question mark is raised it can worry them.

A loan with a view to buy would probably be a good option as this would allow the buyers to reassure themselves that all is well and by the sound of it he could be snapped up by a pony club family lookin for a horse or a senior.

I wish you good luck with your problem but I dont think is insurmountable x

Thanks for your response. TBH I would be happier if he went on loan with a view to buy as then I would know he was in the right home, which is more important than price.
Thanks

Dont forget that the Pony Club has a classified section on its website on which you can advertise loans and horses for sale to Pony Club homes.

He sounds super and will probably be snapped up.
