I'm taking my young horse to a show on the 'spur' in 2 weeks time. It's going to be his first ever outing, but he's so laid back he should be ok.
Anyway, equipment wise I only have a sabre cordoba bridle which can only fit one of their grackles or rounded padded cavessons (both of which I have), and a slim brown grackle bridle. Black jacket with velvet collar, white and cream jods.
I was going to try him round the 45cm class as he hasn't jumped much at all (we're going for experience really). However I was looking at the showing classes and though I'd give it a go.
The classes they have are; M&M in-hand and ridden, Any breed in hand, Tack & Turnout, Best riding, Best combination, Ridden hunter/riding horse/cob.
Now it's only a piddly local show, so is it worth trying it in my showjumping garb? I don't really want to spend £££'s on a new bridle, jacket etc so can I get away with what I have? Or get anything cheap to cheat?
