No clue, I should be doing the arena clear round at kelsall and I was going to use the gallops as well, but I dont think even they know if they can run.

I have plans. (Sorry, but there is a benefit to living in an isolated place!).
Tomorrow we have a flat work lesson, then Henry gets a baths an plaited because he’s off to the grassroots dressage champs on Saturday.
Coolie is starting his fitness program, so he’s going to be walking over lots of poles this weekend.
I hope you don’t suffer in lockdown too long.

No much planned for the weekend, managed to get out to BD yesterday with the baby pony but he’s still a bit spooky at the boards so got some white guttering and plant pots on order to make the most of lockdown before he can compete again. Probably set up a small course of jumps and hacking over the weekend.

Off work today & tomorrow ?
Had a jump lesson with a new instructor, she was lovely. Didn’t do a huge amount of jumping, focused on working on adjustability of the canter, getting him really listening and forward. It was very good, she explained everything really well and horse went v nicely! So looking forward to the next one.
Flatwork lesson tomorrow!
Might go out and do local sj over the weekend possibly, no real plans yet though.

A whole lot of not very much! My horse has just had hock injections for mild arthritis so no riding for a week, then slowly back into work. The vet was very positive and reassuring about the mid to long term prognosis so hopefully we will be back on competition form by the end of lockdown. But nothing with him this week apart from maybe trying again to desensitise him to clippers - we usually just sedate. Seeing the invoice from the vet today has motivated me to try again!
Have fun with hacking/lessons/competitions everyone!

Not a huge amount due to lockdown 2.0.

I went to an Andy Thomas clinic yesterday and got SO MUCH out of it, so I will most likely be doing all of my exercises and putting them into practice on horse and seeing if I can re-create the fabulous feel from yesterday.

Aside from that I need to clip (hateful job), and will get some poles out to have a pootle over I think.

Good luck to those who are allowed out to play!

Oof, tough for you guys. Australia has Coronavirus infections under control at the moment, so I really feel for you!

It's not raining this weekend (yay!), so I have a lesson planned on Saturday, then an outing to the local Equestrian Park for Sunday. In between I need to do some fencing repairs and will restart the TB under saddle (hoping the new saddle fits!). Then planning on long reining the WB baby after just being in the paddock being a horse for the last few (damp) weeks.

Hopefully Lockdown 2.0 goes relatively quickly for you guys. Maybe some really bad weather for the next few weeks will help? ;)

I really feel for people who would otherwise be out and about, and also wishing good luck to those in parts of the country/world that are able to venture out.

I'm feeling relieved that I will be allowed to still see share horse, although having a bit of a wobble at the moment. He had a moment of over-excitement the other day and (I think) hopped up with his front end and kicked out with the back which caught me off guard. Although I didn't come off or anywhere near to it, I still spent the rest of the ride wishing he would chill tf out and worried he'd do something else. Then of course I (pointlessly I know) got annoyed with myself for letting it stress me so much.

I think I need to approach share horse's owner about lessons again, I really would like to be doing them with him but not sure how I will feel if this isn't going to be possible. For now I'm jut grateful to still be able to have the time with him.

As long as your owner is ok about it, coaches are able to do 1 to 1 sessions, hope you are able to get some in x

Was meant to be taking the youngster to a clinic with Chris Bartle which is cancelled, but oh well. I was a bit scared as to what he might say anyway!

Instead youngster can come up to work for a school one day and then a friend who hasn't ridden for years is going to borrow her for a hack on the other; I'll ride the elderly TB with her (he's much more of a liability!)

Incredibly stressful week with not knowing if groomers had to shut during lockdown, various organisations saying different things but finally, last night, we were officially put on the government ‘open’ list. So I’ve been fitting extra dogs in incase we had to shut and I’m absolutely knackered.
Working Saturday morning and then having a proper rest, with nothing planned. I will ride, but that’s about it!

Hope things settle down for everyone! Not sure what my plans are - two horses and none currently rideable! Ones lost a shoe, the others got a fat leg (done in the stable so hoping it’s nothing serious). So may go and pat ponies and sort stuff out this weekend. that can take me ages though and I secretly enjoy it.
