locked stiffle

A young lass at my yard has a fabbo little pony, but while it was having a gallop about in the field the other day its leg locked up (off hind) only for about 4 seconds and it didnt o lame or happen again. I mentioned it could be a locked stiffle but couldnt be sure as its not something ive dealt with before.... do any of you experts care to share your thoughts? Unfortunately she wanted to sell it at some point

I think it's unusual for a stifle to lock when galloping (or really in any motion). It's more usually something that happens when the horse has been standing for a while & the patella has moved & doesn't release. Sounds like something else is going on. BTW, no expert
