Had an email earlier from the breeder of my chi in America. He got Best of Breed today, beating a whole class of Champions AND the Top chi in America right now!!!!!! He is only ten months old and only been showing about a month (since we said we'd buy him) and is only 2 points from gaining his Champion title already!!

Cant wait til he arrives in October :D

I only have a couple of not so good ones the breeder sent me when I first enquired.

Here's the best of those, showing his pretty face. I have a couple that show him better but breeder is in those and she probably wouldnt appreciate me posting her on a public forum..!lol

Hopefully there will have been some taken at his shows... Will post them if there are :D

Well done :D. Glad we're not the only breed where puppies are picking up the big prizes :o :D

Maya's (basenji) brother was made up to a champion at 12 months and one day!! He'd got about 4 CC's as a puppy...!! It seems common with them, very rare with my other breeds. And i think Logan is a rather nice example of the breed too, very excited for when he comes over here!!

There have been grumblings about it with us and it is becoming more common, but as one commentator said, almost every one that has taken a BoB or CC from the puppy classes has ended up being a champion or an international champion so the quality has lasted.

My only gripe in our ring is that the German judges who give the awards would never dream of doing so at home, the system does not allow it, and also height is mentioned a lot of the time, IE the pup is the correct height compared to the others in the line up - erm, they might grow? :p

Awwww well done. He looks so cute although he looks like he's in jail in the pic :p ;) :D :D :D
Good Luck with him and deff post some more pics when you have some he's so adorable. :D

A real cutie, and if he's anything like the chis I used to know he will be full of character. Have to agree the cage looks a bit grim, is that the type of benching at the shows over there or does the breeder keep their dogs in cages, I know quite a lot do over here .

Price was agreed well before and paid!!lol

Not sure what you mean about the cage, doesnt look any worse than many I have seen over here, and a lot better than most!! I believe it is a veterinary type of cage which is popular in america as they are easy to keep clean and safer for the very small breeds as they dont have bars on the sides for legs/heads to get caught in!!
