Archies out after eight months box rest

Last June my friends horse broke a bone in his knee and since that day, my friend, the horse and I have been on a huge journey. You could not believe what a knock on effect his injury has had on so many lives!

Archie bless him has been boxed rested since the injury, well not a complete rest, he has been led out in hand and as a Sec C pony with ATTITUDE he has coped so well, he has had an arthroscopy to remove the bone, physio and injections into the joint over the past months.

What makes this such a long awaited day is that both my friend and I might not have seen it. As we returned from taking him to the vets, we had a horrendous car accident and my friend was air lifted to London and I was taken to the department I work in.

After a week I was allowed out of hospital and my friend was home after 2 months, which will give you an indication of her injuries.

I never thought that I would see today, both my friend and her horse up on their legs, it is truely amazing for both of them and I have the biggest smile on my face
