Atm I have jodphur boots and gaiters but I would like to invest in some long boots. However I do have short fat calves and quite a small shoe size (Compared to the size of my calf) I am about a 6 -7 shoe size wise. Any makes out there that cater for a more fuller figured lady?

I had this problem. I'm a size 12 but have officially the fattest little tree-stump legs ever! Can never find long boots or even wellingtons to fit. I hope someone on here has a good idea for whole boots, but I compete in treadstep boots and gaiters. they are designed to tuck the gaiter into the boot and I find them awesome. Very comfortable, and you can get the leg and foot perfect. Plus I always feel I have better movement.

I've Aigle, they are great in winter as sheepskin lined. They fasten up the legs with velco straps, great for the extra trousers when cold.

Wouldn't be good for shows though, jsut general around the yard and hacking out boots, but they are wonderfully warm and comfortable x

I'm 5' 8" and Bromonts are to tall for me, granted I have short stumpy legs

(i'm 5'5 btw and didn't need to keep top button undone - heel risers did the trick for me - but that's another trick i've heard about

Another vote for the Mountain Horse High Caliber/Richmond. I actually went up a foot size to be sure they would fit (ebay purchase), in reality I could have stayed in my true foot size. Love them and they are very smart, in fact prefer them to my boots that were stolen!

Hi

I have quite wide calves too but i got a pair of chaps from Tackanory online they are good for that sort of thing. Although the ones I got were extra wide once I had worn them a few times they were really loose so may be worthwhile ordering two sizes to check.

I have the same issue and have some lovely Equitector boots as I really need made to measure. I also have some mountain Horse High riders but can't do the velcro at the back up.
