I have been promised half a pair of new long boots for xmas (I will have to buy one boot LOL) so need some recomendations?

I am short but legs are pretty normal length I think. Want some really smart ones for next year

Sergio Grasso- i got mine from Stoneybrook Saddlery near Kings Lynn- very very helpful and knew which size was right.

Some are expensive but by shopping around its easy to save upwards of £50

De Niro boots - got mine from company called Joshua Jones.
Come in huge range of fittings and no breaking in at all - so comfortable

De Niros are beautiful. Ive got a pair of Mountain horse High caliber boots which I now love

Significantly cheaper than the "continental" makes too

The Ariat Bromats everytime- am no longer wearing my sergio grasso's! These Ariat boots are IT, they look amazing, and are so so so so so comfortable...plus they are waterproof, but at the same time look like v.smart leather! Most of all am really pleased with how they make my chubby short little legs look soooo much better- they look long and slim now!

I have quite wide feet and although it took me a few goes to get the right size round my calf I absolutely LOVE my Petrie boots, they were awful and I hated the things the first two weeks of owning them but now I look upon my johddy boots and gaiters in disgust.

I got mine reduced from £200 to £150 aswell so not bad, although if it is a half xmas pressie you may want to go for something a bit more ker-ching, Ariat wins everytime from my friends opinions.

Sergio Grasso all the way for me! My ones are the Vicenza ones and they have quite a square foot so would be good if you have wider feet! I love mine!!!!

I have flat wide feet and I love my Regents. Lasted nearly 10 years now to.
Although I thought the design would have changed I've just googled and they look identical.
Not cheap really but cheaper than a lot of the other trendy makes.

I love my Konigs, I have wide feet & have had this pair 12 years now & still look like new, whale boned up the back but fine for jumping. Somehow I only payed £150 for them!

make sure you get some that have stitched-on soles so they can be replaced when they wear out. only seems to come with the more expensive ones though

cheapest I found were sergio grasso - approx 350quid

I have had the sole replaced on my Konigs, best is a welted sole not leather unless you wont walk anywhere in them!

i think ive got sarm hippique ones for competitions, and believe me, Ive got wide feet, yet they fit fine! I'm probably a similar height/ build to you also, so good leg length etc... Think they were about £200?

For non competing, Ive got the ariat grassmeres and they are lovely to ride in - stick to the saddle. I even wore them to a restaurant the other week when I ran out of time to get changed

... they look quite nice with jeans!!

Cavallo Winner Plus with zip - super-comfy (don't even know I've got them on) and flexible enough for jumping but slightly dressage-cut. Expensive but worth it in my opinion
