long boots or half chaps?

what do you find more comfortable to ride/jump in? i prefer chaps but thats only cos i cant afford to buy long boots!!

My long boots cost a huuuuge amount of money and I rarely wear them. They look fantastic but I just can't ride as effectively in them. I use my 10 year old Treadstep chaps and worn out Aquacat boots all the time.

Long boots all the way. Much more secure leg position.

Defo long boots, I love my Ariats

Did have a pair of leather Dublin long boots, but they were horrid

I wear my leather ariat chaps for at home and for showing my long boots both i find very comfy

Long boots give the most secure legs position but they do take a while to a) get used to and b) break in to your ankle position.

I use half-chaps for normal riding and gaiters for competing (can't afford long boots!) which seems to suit me fine
