I have some lovely long leather zip up boots for competing in but they are soooo stiff! I have oiled them and everything, I manage to ride in the for Dressage but cant jump in them as they cut into the back of my leg. I end up jumping in my old soft ones!!

Any tips on how to soften them!!!???

they could be too long for you. or they might just need to drop. try running up stairs. Or bend them at the ankle. Or suffer the pain and go hacking in them! i happen to like hard boots!

Have found wearing them around the yard doing your chores etc and general riding for a while helps. Just make sure you clean them well after use and they should be fine
