Hi, am having some trouble locating a suitable pair of 'all-round' long boots. I want something comfortable for day-to-day, but that's still smart enough for prelim dressage, and can also be worn to play polo (which I'm looking to have a go at) - this of course means brown would be the colour to go for. Unfortunately, that seems to rule out Ariat Bromonts which only seem to go up size 8.5 (I'm size 10) and there doesn't seem to be many other options out there. Ideas??

hello!

I have been eyeing up the mountain horse ones for ages, until I came across a pair almost identical but half the price and better fit.

They are by Toggi and come in either black or brown suede effect with options for calf sizes (I got 'Wide') without this affecting the ankle too much, unlike the mountain horse ones, which are much chunkier and large ankles. The mountain horse ones do come in a slimmer smarter fit and I think they have different 'heights' as well as widths.

Basically the Mountain Horse ones were £140 upwards
Toggi for almost exactly the same thing but neater £69.99 !

They are very smart and well made/cut and I was told would be smart enough for various activities as well as all round hacking.

Heck - I might be wearing mine with jeans during the day!

I wear boots and gaiters for any occasion, that way you can get any size boot and they will measure yor leg for the right fitting gaiter, there flexible and smart without the problems with dragging them off aswell. i have the treadstep ones....wouldn't ever go back to long boots.
