My husband would like some long country boots for xmas, a bit like the Dubarry ones, but we both agree they are a bit expensive. Can anyone recommend alternatives. He likes my ariat grasmeres but he dosent ride just helps me on the yard so not really obvious riding ones would properly be better. Budget is about £150

My husband really likes Harkila boots - they are what he uses for when he goes rough shooting and they have to stand up to a lot of grief. They are apparently also very comfortable but they might be a tad more than your budget depending on the style :)

I got my partner some mark Todd ones , they are lovely, wearing very well, are waterproof too. I think they are the tall work boots though I can't remember to be sure, they are marketed as unisex though most definitely mens boots. I shopped about and picked them up for £40 rrp is something like £140ish
