What is a reasonable time to travel a horse in a trailer/horsebox(around the country, not air/sea)? How often would you stop for a break and how long would you drive for in one day? Are there any laws to say that you have to stop every 4 hours for example?

No laws for small lorries/trailers for uncommercial people I know of. Anything over 7.5 tonnes even if it is a lorry with trailer has tacho laws...We have a break every 4 hours, although havn't done more than 7 within the country. Going to austria Pip was on the box (Stays in on ferry) for 8 hours 2 days in a row..

OK, this is not UK so I don't know the regs, but I would assume that there is some EU regulation for travelling. However, my friend takes his horses for eight hours at a stretch in a horsebox/trailer, rests them overnight and competes the next day.
