Has anyone had experience of succesfully treating these? Nine year old rescue long dog has a nasty protuding corn on right back foot. Ok on soft ground, but hopping thee legged on gravel etc. going to see vet on Sat am he's very sensible and compassionate. Getting bit worried abt it all. Advice/experiences, please?

Soften it in warm water, and using a scalpel blade shave it off gently and gradually..or ask the vet to do the same.Exactly the same as you would deal with a human corn.

Thanks very much, EK. Booked in to see Uncle Dave the Supervet at Newnham Court Vet Hospital tomorrow morning. Not looking forward to trying to persuade wussy long dog that she is not having her foot cut off.i'm used to my sadly deceased GSD who specialised in murderous stares and stoicism!

hi, we put corn plasters on ours. Once they have them they are hard to get rid of, try just walking on soft ground. if you look on greyhound superstore website i'm sure they sell something to put on their pads, cant remember what its called!
