I have a beautiful tb mare who has been diagnosed with long hind pasterns that are causing her bum / back pain. She has been to the vet been bone scanned x-rayed, ultrasounded and this was the explanation for her bad behaviour and back issues! I was told to give her 3 months off ect, natural balance shoes, but she seems to be getting worse, not better, I have the vet coming out for her 3 month check up next week! but I am really scared and I am trying to prepare myself for the worse I already have a horse that is retired and cant keep to field ornaments.
I just wanted to know if anyone out there had similar problems and if there was anything else that anyone could recommend. She has had chiro physio but it was no good as its her legs that are causing the underlying problem.
