I am trying to find a stockist of classic, straight topped, non-zipped, black leather riding boots and it is proving a bit of a task..... I can find practically everything but.....

help!!!!

Regent still do traditional hunting boots, I have a pair for showing and hunting.

Try E-Bay as non zipped boots are no longer popular and can be picked up pretty cheaply. Also try Eland Lodge, they have a good selection of boots.

Good luck

Paddy

ETA my avatar is a picture taken before hacking to a hunt. I am on the middle grey in my non zipped hunting regents and JC, owner of Eland Lodge is on the end grey in his non zipped hunting boots!

Hawkins are my favourites but I think the company doesn't exist now which is a shame. You can often find a good second hand pair on ebay though. I also rate Regent.

Mr Davies makes lovely boots - I have a pair I want to sell but no one seems to have skinny enough legs for them! they're hand made - classic stright top, non zip proper traditional boots :)

I hate zip boots - the ones I've seen always seem to go really scruffy looking around the zip (or maybe no one knows how to look after them!!)
