I want some new long leather boots for riding in at home - I have expensive ones for comps / lessons so I don't want them to be too expensive but would like them to look nice and have a high dressage cut. I won't wear them for jobs, just riding.

What would you reccomend?

I have some Cavallo (about £200) and I have had for 12 years and they are still going strong - although I have to wear more socks to pad out as bought when I was podgy

Love my Sergio Grasso boots

I bought some Equetech (leather look) long boots for riding in at home - they have the high dressage cut and are nice and comfy cos they dont take loads of wearing in. They are quite convincing as well - people on the yard thought they were leather. The big bonus was they only cost me £40!!! I think they are cut quite high though so may not be any good if you aren't tall...

Off to look at both!!
The problem is I love the Konigs but know I can't buy another pair just for at home - basically I want them to be the same but for about £!50 - £200. I think I may have to get real!!!!!
I could have my comp ones for at home and buy new comp ones but I've just ordered Dubarry's so i'm not even asking the rents about that plan

i have some regent long leather boots that were 90 (no pound sign) about 3 years ago.. theyre really comfy and look well smart when i polish them up! i use them for riding in at home and have some gorgeus petrie boots for competing in... they were my last years bramham bargains...got them for 70 !!!!!

Oh! I am at Bramham in a couple of weeks - I forgot about that, I may wait and see if there are any bargains!!!

I have the Regent Grafton boots and they were just under £200 they are meant to be my showing boots but are sooooo comfortabel I wear them at home too. So want to buy another pair in brown for home!

They are def' worth trying!!!

I have a pair of Regents (don't know the style, but they are high cut) which I use for home/lessons etc, and I have had people comment on how smart they are and how the look just like Cavallos. They were around £200 I think.

I've got some of the dublin zip back dressage top ones I use for schooling at home - they were £105 when I bought them and I'm sure they're not that dear now - mine are now 12 years old and going strong - 1 replacement zip (cos I got fatter!) and a few heels but that's all.

I bought some of the Robinsons Requisite high top long leather boots for at home- ended up competing in them as so comfy and really soft leather!
Bargain as only about £75- and have a zip down the back

I have invested in a pair of lace up boots from robinsons at a bargain price and some lovely leather gaiters from Ebay which I bartered on the price for, all in all less than £60!!!
