Long legged riders - some recommendations please

I am looking to buy a new pair of long black boots to compete in. I have noticed with some makes, because of the length of my leg, the top of the boots seem to catch on the bottom of the saddle flap. I am keen to avoid this as it is quite off-putting.
I would be happy spending up to about £150 - £200 for the right pair that would last.
Can any similarly tall / leggy riders recommend any smart boots that work for them?
Thanks in advance xx

Ariat bromonts come in a longer length and I find they are great - even after dropping a bit in the first couple of months, they are still long enough for my legs. The non-insulated ones can be found for less than £200 - I had a pair of these for about 5 years and they were warm enough in winter.

Floxie, those are great. Good price too!
Abacus, I looked at the Ariats, they look lovely. Would you say they are worth the price? 5 years is impressive - what sort of wear were they getting?

Another vote for Ariat Bromonts, got 2 pairs and love them both :)

ETA they wear very well, had 1 pair 3 years and they still come up like new with a good clean! Wear them every day, muck out in them etc so don't just use them for riding too.

I was pretty cruel to mine - they did most yard jobs, especially in summer (I switched to Conistons for winter use). I have never been much good at changing boots for riding etc so they were definitely well worn around the yard as well as for riding. They are well worth spending a little more on.

One thing I would say is that my newer pair are insulated and I prefer the non-insulated - they are more flexible and were comfortable right from the start, and were easily warm enough.

Ariat bromonts day to day. Super comfy and insulated version means toasty toes hunting, but they aren't really long enough for me so Mountain Horse supreme high rider for smart :) (but more pricey I got mine on deal at Burghley as felt full price they seemed a bit £££ for an off the peg boot). Can probably find non insulated ariats for under £200. They do last well and can't fault ariat customer service I had a pair I'd worn for a few months start to show a manufacturing fault and they replaced with no quibble.

I went for Brogini as they do different leg lengths and calf sizes so almost made to measure, they've had light to medium use and lasted for about 3 years now so I would buy again, only really for riding or competing in though, not used the more casual ones

Mmm, the Ariats are nice. And if they stand up to quite robust treatment, good value too.
Thanks everyone

I've got broginis and I love them. Had them for three years now and they are still going strong, although I only ever wear them for riding and cry when they get muddy!

Daughter has 36" inside leg (not inherited from me as I'm short and stumpy) and loves her Brogini's which have lasted for 7 years (4 of which she was at uni so haven't had that much wear)
