So moved my horse today back to the old yard.. its been a long day!
emptied the stable which took about 12 barrow loads what a night mare lol then scrubbing all the rubber mats down. then got on the trailer and someone turned there horse out just as we had got him on so he had a major spaz attacked was doing half rears in the trailer really really scary!hes never done any thing like that but its the noise more than anything i think stood talking to him for 10mins and he calmed down then off we went! got to the yard, literally chucked him straight out in the field with all his old mates they made a massive fuss of him, was really lovely to see actually.
few hours later they all came in put him in a stable that i had spent ages bedding down beautifully if i might say so myself :o put him in with a haynet ect , well we had snorting, whinneying mini rears ploughing straight into the door trying to get out.
He was calling to the other horses down the bottom section of the yard so tried putting him down there in his old stable. well head straight down eating hay quiet as a mouse. happy as larry. all that fuss because he wasnt in his own bedroom

But such a relief to see him chilled out in his stable with his mates next door (new neighbour the other side who was not impressed with him!)

Hoping we can get back to our old selves now. both of us

pointless post but I am happy :)

Sounds like he's glad to be 'home' I have no idea of your story but know my old boy has been happy to be home like that before

Glad all seems well, even if you had rather a lot of muck to shift!

It is interesting how horses and ponies, do remember places and their surroundings and what creatures of habit they are.

Have a well earned rest tonight!
