long neck?? How to hide it??

I have a 14.2hh 3 year old coloured cob, and i say cob as he'll probably grow another inch or two, and he's built like a cob. his mane is long at the moment, in real need of pulling. Is it the really long mane thats making his neck look long or will it look worse if i pull it up to "normal"??

I think pull it. Making the mane shorter usually makes the neck look thicker which in theory will make it look more in porportion with its self x.

Thanks Berry, thought i'd ask before i did anything, in case i made it worse. It's not overly bad, but dont need to make him look like a giraffe!!!!
