Quick q.

What length lunge lines do you use?? Plan on trying this on monday, isn't the first time I've done it but always struggle to find a balance between the lines being too long or too short! :o

Thanks in advance :D

I am currently using two lunge reins, if you find them too long you can knot the ends together loosely.

I also have a German system with pulleys that attach to the bit ring and stirrup on the saddle, made from one length of rope purchased from a ship's chandler. I like the softness of the rope it is easy to handle and the pulleys (also used in sailing) help give more control if you have a strong horse.

If no one else replies I will go and measure the rope.

Thanks :)
Have before now ended up using 3 lines in total which gets a bit odd! I always find it hard to work out what to do when so much extra line is taken up if you have the far-side line around the horses quarters unless the lines /are/ tied...
No idea, I ought to learn properly :o But it always seems to work!
